Colleen has been practicing in the Joliet area since 2003, with experience in civil litigation, trust and estate litigation, decedent’s estates, guardianships, adoption and estate planning. During that time, Colleen has focused her practice in trust and estate litigation and guardianships.  Colleen has represented many trustees, executors, administrators, guardians, heirs and beneficiaries.  Colleen has also served as a guardian ad litem for numerous minors and alleged disabled adults during that time. Colleen, along with co-presenter Jennifer Lynch, teaches a seminar regarding the role of the guardian ad litem in probate court for attorneys seeking to apply for appointments as guardians ad litem in the Twelfth Judicial Circuit, in Will County, Illinois. 

Colleen was appointed Will County Public Guardian and Will County Public Administrator by Governor Bruce Rauner on February 2, 2018 and currently serves in those capacities.  In her role as Public Guardian, Colleen serves as the Guardian of the Person and/or Estate of Disabled Persons in Will County that do not have family members willing or able to serve.  In her role as Public Administrator, Colleen accepts appointments by the Probate Court to serve as the Administrator of Decedent’s Estates for which there is no appropriate Administrator willing or able to Serve. 

Colleen has been certified as a National Certified Guardian by the Center for Guardianship Certification.
